What is the Mitigator™?
The MitiGator™ Technology is an engineered cushioning system designed to protect people from hi-speed, hi-impact assaults and to allow them to continue to perform their jobs or enjoy their leisure time. The MitiGator™ uses patented air control technology working with 4,044 surfaces per square foot to dissipate energy before it is transmitted to the body and thus help alleviate the problems. The MitiGator™ has been validated through intensive in-house testing as well as by independent testing by the US Navy, Army & Air Force, several commercial laboratories and by many evaluators in other military, law enforcement and recreational applications
The Mitigator™ successfully completed competition in impact and shock testing conducted by Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, the US Air Force and our own in-house testing. The Mitigator™ provided as much as 80% more protection, via energy dissipation, to the test subject than the baseline and competitors. The Mitigator™ reduces acceleration in drop tests by 90% or more and stops as much as 80% of the total energy from being transmitted to the human body. Looked at a different way, when "Space" foam and Mitigator™ cushions were compared to current aviation cushions, Mitigator™ cushions reduced spinal loading 8.8X (times) more than “Space” foam alone.
Exciting New Whole Body Vibration Test Results
The chart above shows that The MitiGator™ reduces whole body vibration by as much as 60% when compared to a 1" cushion of Confor Foam. When compared to 2", The MitiGator™ reduces it by nearly 70%. The MitiGator™ uses patented air control technology to reduce the injurious forces transmitted to vehicle occupants resulting from impacts, shocks and vibrations. The layered design makes our products unique not only in their ability to protect occupants, but to easily be utilized in retro-fit applications.
