SEA Systems announces
several
new programs incorporating its
MitiGator™ Technology Intelligent Isolation™
Clarksville, VA, March 19, 2004: SEA Systems Group, Inc. (SEAS), manufacturer of patented MitiGator™ Technology, the most advanced impact / shock / vibration mitigating materials, today announced that it has completed several important objectives in the first quarter of 2004 and anticipates an even more exciting balance of 2004. The achievements include:
- US NAVAL Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and SEAS continue to work together to move The MitiGator™ crew seat cushions into the fleet. SEAS has received its first two delivery orders under its Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity five year contract from the Navy for purchase of seat cushions for the Cobra attack helicopter and the Huey utility helicopter.
- Delivery of a ships set of MitiGator™ seat cushions for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (http://www.efv.usmc.mil/) being developed for the U. S. Marine Corps by General Dynamics. These cushions were ordered after several months of extensive testing by General Dynamics. SEAS has received an additional order from General Dynamics for continued development. The EFV program runs through 2019 and represents a significant opportunity for SEAS.
- Selection for award by the Navy of a Lockheed Martin Marine Systems & Sensors’ proposal for High Capacity At-Sea Transfer of Materials, Personnel and Equipment. SEAS is a subcontractor in the program and will provide MitiGator™ Technology support for ship board applications during this effort. This is the first in a series of awards that are anticipated to move this technology to the surface fleet over a period of about four years.
SEAS and Edgewater Powerboats have completed a teaming arrangement that includes Edgewater offering The MitiGator™ deck mats as a safety option on its powerboats (also incorporated in their GSA listings). For those who work or play on air, land or sea vehicles, constant or single impacts, shocks or vibrations can cause fatigue, reduced proficiency, pain, injuries and even death.
The MitiGator™ Technology is an engineered system designed to protect people from these assaults and to allow them to continue to perform their jobs or enjoy their leisure time. The MitiGator™ Technology uses patented air control technology to dissipate energy before it is transmitted to the body and thus help alleviate some of the problems. The MitiGator™ Technology has been validated through intensive in-house testing as well as by independent testing by the US Navy & US Air Force, several commercial laboratories and by many evaluators in other military, law enforcement and recreational applications.
