SEA Systems reaches
several
new milestones
with its MitiGator™ Technology
Intelligent Isolation™ Introduction
September 14, 2005
Our MitiGator™ deck mats are now on 20 high-speed Navy boats and expect to have our first seating systems on an APBA-UIM Offshore Racing champion's boat by the end of September 2005. We have become the sole provider to General Dynamics of seat cushions for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle and the Expeditionary Fire Support System Vehicle. We are waiting funding as a subcontractor to Roll Royce and/or Oceaneering on the Phase II HiCASS LVI LO/LO project where MitiGator™ technology is used in fenders to separate ships at sea in skin to skin transfers. In August we completed our first export order for the European automotive industry. We continue to work with the Navy, Army and Air Force at providing superior cushions for aviation. Also, October 1st and 2nd we will be demonstrating our MitiGator™ technology at the Clarksville, Virginia annual Hydroplane Challenge with supporters from the United States and Canada.
Clarksville, VA, December 1, 2003:
SEA Systems Group, Inc. (SEAS), manufacturer of patented MitiGator™ Technology, the most advanced impact/shock/vibration mitigating materials, today announced that it has completed several important objectives in the second half of 2003 and anticipates an even more exciting beginning to 2004. The achievements include:
- Delivery of MitiGator™ crew seat cushions for the MH68A/A-109 “Sting Ray” or “Power” helicopter used by the U.S. Coast Guard’s elite HITRON squadron. SEAS anticipates additional orders for this airframe in 2004. HITRON performs Homeland Security and counter drug operations for the Coast Guard (http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-cp/history/ac_hitron_history.html).
- Approval of SEAS as a U. S. Army, Tank-automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) QSL-04 Qualified Supplier effective through October 2006. This approval comes after the review and approval of SEAS’ Quality Program by TACOM and recognizes SEAS’ commitment to quality and the U.S. Army customer-supplier partnership. SEAS expects to bid on several programs for TACOM during 2004.
- US NAVAL Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and SEAS continue to work together to move MitiGator™ crew seat cushions into the fleet. NAVAIR and SEAS have negotiated an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity five year contract (with a maximum value of $25 million) to allow all branches of DOD to transition MitiGator™ Technology to many military platforms (SEAS also accepts government credit cards). Currently they are in the early stages of the process of obtaining flight certification of MitiGator™ cushions for the UH1 Huey helicopter (using the previously certified AH1 Cobra cushioning system) and are conducting flight evaluations of MitiGator™ cushions for the E-2C Hawkeye. SEAS believes full scale production and Navy procurement will begin in 2004.
- SEAS filed a provisional patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its innovative MitiGator™ deck mats. SEAS also filed an application with the same office to obtain a Registered Trademark for its trademark The MitiGator™.
- SEAS and American Marine Holdings Inc. Government Sales Division (AMHGS) have completed a teaming arrangement that includes AMHGS offering MitiGator™ deck mats as a safety option on its ProLine and Donzi boat lines (also incorporated in their GSA listings). SEAS is in various stages of discussions with several other boat builders and aftermarket companies about teaming to introduce MitiGator™ deck mats and other products.
- Richard McKinney, Vice President and a founder of SEAS, made a technical presentation at the 2003 Multi Agency Craft Conference at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Virginia Beach, VA in June 2003 (presentation is available on our website at http://www.seasgroup.com). The presentation was well received and resulted in several contacts that we believe will lead to further applications for The MitiGator™ Technology.
- For those who work or play on air, land or sea vehicles, constant or single impacts, shocks or vibrations can cause fatigue, reduced proficiency, pain, injuries and even death. The MitiGator™ Technology is an engineered system designed to protect people from these assaults and to allow them to continue to perform their jobs or enjoy their leisure time. The MitiGator™ Technology uses patented air control technology to dissipate energy before it is transmitted to the body and thus help alleviate some of the problems. The MitiGator™ Technology has been validated through intensive in-house testing as well as by independent testing by the US Navy & US Air Force, several commercial laboratories and by many evaluators in other military, law enforcement and recreational applications.
Barbara McKinney, President and a founder of SEAS, comments “We are pleased with the progress SEAS has made in 2003. SEAS has initiated many contacts and negotiations that we believe will bear fruit in 2004. We expect to have several important announcements to make in early 2004.”
SEAS is a leader in the development of engineered impact/shock/vibration energy management solutions for the aerospace, military, law enforcement and homeland security, hi-speed boat, motor sports, heavy equipment, recreational vehicle and sports industries. MitiGator™ Technology Intelligent Isolation™ can be found in products from major weapon systems and boats to sport padding.
